My name is Lide, and I’m a licensed tour guide based in Skopje. For almost 15 years, I’ve had the pleasure of showing Macedonia to visitors from all over the world.
I was born in Kratovo, a small historic town that has always been a source of inspiration for me. I live in Skopje, spend much of my time in Ohrid, and love discovering places and stories that make every corner of Macedonia special.
I hold a Master’s degree in Folklore, and my interest in history, culture and local traditions goes beyond my work as a guide. I have also written a book about the tourism potential of Kratovo, my hometown.
I guide in English, Spanish and French in the whole country- mostly based in Skopje and Ohrid, and work with both individual travellers and groups. Over the years, I’ve met people from many different countries, and one of the things I enjoy most about this job is the opportunity to share stories, exchange experiences and see my own country through the eyes of my guests.
I enjoy history, but I also believe that a good tour should be more than dates and historical facts. I like to include local stories, interesting details, everyday life, food and a little humour along the way. And, of course, I always try to adapt the tour to the people I’m travelling with.
Whether it’s your first visit or you’re returning to discover more, I’d be happy to show you around and share the Macedonia I know and love. You can contact me if you need a tour in Macedonia.
